He may submit to your role as a mother and you may submit to his role as a father. It just means you both have areas that you are strong in, so you submit one to another. However; this still doesn't change Gods law that the husbands is the head of the house, and the wife should submit to his leadership. How to be spiritually fruitful (The parable of the sower and the seed)

 THE SOWER AND THE SEED  In a article that I read on google I was stunned to see that 55% of those who attends church at least once a month have not had a born again experience and 70% of people who grew up in church leave church by their 20s. Reading this I was reminded of the parable of the sower and the seed that Jesus taught in Luke 8:4-15. He says  a sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it. Some fell on rock; and as soon of it sprang up it withered away because lack of moisture. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and chocked it. But others fell on good ground, sprang up and yielded a crop hundred fold. When He had said these things he cried. He who has ears to hear, let him hear. I believe that Jesus cried because He was faced with the alarming truth that many will come to the faith but not many will continue on in it.
